Our tutors, all had vast but varied insight into the airline industry, and they were eager to share their knowledge and experiences with us. We studied fares and ticketing, which I found most fun and also Galileo computer reservations. We also had modules on grooming, a necessity in the airline business, as well as interview techniques and preparation and an insight into life as Cabin Crew. By the end of the interview preparation lectures we were all confident at presenting ourselves and 'selling' our CV's!! Something that was to prove extremely useful to me in the hunt for a job. I now work for Emirates as Cabin Crew and am still in touch with my classmates. Working for an airline is all I dreamed it would be and more. I have seen more of the world than I would have imagined. However, I would not be here without the presentation, guidance and skill I learned at Portobello Institute and the tools I gained there which helped me make my dream a reality.

When I applied for three Travel and Tourism courses I had my doubts as to whether I could commit while working full time. However, I loved all three courses and now I have a job that I love  going to every day.  I chose to study three part-time courses - Galileo, Fares and Ticketing and Retail Travel Agency Practice. This provided me a varied insight into the industry.
I found the course content extremely relevant. The Travel Agent course was very extensive covering not only what was on the curriculum but also relevant topics and trends. This really helped me to develop my product knowledge ensuring I was aware for products and services and how to increase sales.
Throughout my studies I found the tutors really helpful and supportive and extremely knowledgeable within their field.
