The Pre-University Legal Studies course provides a foundation in Irish Law and business. It is suitable for those who would like a career as an assistant in a legal environment or for those who wish to continue their legal studies to degree level.

Studying law is an exciting and challenging choice. It provides an introduction to the Irish legal system and court procedures. You will cover a range of legal disciplines including understanding the constitution, the law of contract and the law of tort. In civil litigation's you will gain an in-depth knowledge of the theory, practice and procedures of Civil Litigation, and learn how to produce legal documentation to a professional standard.

The Legal Studies course offers you the opportunity to study the fundamentals of Irish law and business finance as well as enhance your communications and customer services skills.

Entry Requirements

Entry to this course is by direct application to the college. Acceptance to Full Time courses is interview based, there are no specific points requirements.

This is a full time course delivered over one academic year. Students are required to take 8 modules in total which are broken into two semesters. Students will spend 3 days per week in college and 2 days per week on placement gaining work experience.
